weekend happenings

So it's Sunday night, and the weekend is coming to a close. Boo. I don't like.

On Saturday morning the boyfriend and I went to go explore this awesome breakfast place that was featured a few months ago on the Phantom Gourmet. It's called In a Pickle, and they make the best breakfast. EVER. I got crunchy caramel french toast and wanted to live inside of it forever. It was THAT good.

Across the street, we saw that the Waltham Farmer's Market was still open. We saw some really amazing things.
Heirloom tomatoes. Om.
Infused maple syrup. Delicioussssssssssss.
And this beauty. It was SO GOOD.
It was a pretty wonderful morning, if I do say so myself.

Once we got home, I was a wonderful girlfriend and I baked this beauty:
It's a mixed berry crumble pie. It's one of those Barefoot Contessa mixes, and the topping is oatmeal based. It was so easy to make, and only took about an hour to cook. I added raisins to the top and some nutmeg to spice it up. I had a slice tonight, and it was de-lish.

I spent the rest of the weekend working at the Gap. My sister came in today with my nieces and I bought them wonderful new fall wardrobes. It was super fun to see them, and I wish I could have taken pictures of them, but I didn't get a whole lot of time with them. Boo.

And tomorrow's Monday. It is Columbus Day, but I still have to work (which is kind of lameeeee). Luckily, I get to work from home again. So that means I'm only actually going into work 3 days this week. I'm a winner.
