dairy is evil

I'm an idiot. I know I'm lactose intolerant (something that I have sadly developed over the past five years...sigh). I know that cheese is ok, as is yogurt (in small quantities). I know that one scoop of ice cream is ok, and all forms of milk are out of the question. But what did I do Sunday night? I ATE SO MUCH ICE CREAM. And now my stomach hates me. For the past two days, it's hated me. Ugh.

Last night, I had every intention of writing this exact post. But when I got home from work my stomach hated me even more, and the boyfriend had to shuttle me from the bathroom to the bedroom to the couch. I was the most miserable panda in the entire world.

In other news, Chinese New Year dinner was this weekend! First, we took my oldest little nugget, O, out for a date. Much like E's date, it involved lunch at Panera.

And then we went ice skating. Even though she was sick, she was a trooper and only fell once. Also, the boyfriend and I got a lot of really fun looks thinking she was ours.

A quick ode to O: she's my first little nugget (nugget=niece). When she was born, I was in high school and  I was the happiest panda in the land to have such a marvelous little baby in my life. I love hanging out with her, and I especially love when she gets cozy with me. When it's just her out with me or me and the boyfriend, she always wants to sit in my lap or hold my hand. It's just so marvelous to feel such unconditional love. And she's turning 5 soon. Where has time gone?!
I'm the hair monster.
Anywho, mama bear cooked dinner and failed to share recipes (aka she didn't let me help her. Not one bit.). But just know that Chinese food is fantastic. Get to know my mom, maybe she'll cook for you some time.

Sister bear and her beebs.
That's my mom. Ain't she flyyyyy?

In other news, today's BuyWithMe deal in Boston was for adult ballet classes at the Boston Ballet School. I've been asked more times than I care to remember if I'm a ballerina. I'm tall with zero curves (except for mah bum), and I have an abnormally long neck. And since I was 16, I've wished that I was a ballerina. And now is my chance. You should probably buy that deal too. Here, I'll make it easy for you: BUY ME. Then we can be ballerinas together.

Maybe one day I'll look like this:
A girl can dream, right?

  1. Girl, if I was in Boston, that would be bought! Can't wait to hear about your ballerina classes.

Love all the adorable pictures. Hope you feel better soon! :)

  2. you never know.. your dream may come true :D and your niece is adorable :D

Oh, herro there.
