brighter days

Last night in my yoga class, we had a sub. And our sub was bendy bendy mcbendster. And she sort of made me feel very unaccomplished in my yoga skillz. But then she showed me how to do a bird of paradise. And it's hard. But it feels so good.
thanks, google.
I couldn't get my leg straight, but my teacher could. And then she pulled her leg so she was in a standing split. And I bowed down into submission to her yogi-awesomeness. Girlfriend had skills.

Dolly's here. Currently, she's cozied up so close to my side that she's practically on top of me, and it's making it a little difficult to type. Have I told you she loves sunshine? She runs around the apartment trying to catch the sunshine on the floor to lay in it. Evidence:
such a sleepy girl.
She's funny.

So here's a funny story: I don't know how to ride a bike. Yeah. Well, I guess I might know how to ride a bike, but I haven't ridden one since I was like...9 I think, and I ended up in a lake and almost drowned. Ugh. But with the nice weather coming around, I'm thinking maybe it's time for me to get back on the non-proverbial bike once again. Any tips? Advice for getting back on there? Ideas on where a girl can get a cheapo bike?

We're debating seeing a movie this weekend. We're unsure because nothing pops out to us as a must-see. What about you? Have you seen anything good lately? Maybe a good rental, because you know, I like to stretch out a flail about. Holla at me.

And have a good weekend :)

  1. I don't know about a bike.. but I just bought myself some roller-blades. (I haven't been on those in FOREVER).. can't wait to get on them once this rain goes away!

    Good luck on the bike!

  2. Ouch! That looks like its painful. I've never gotten into yoga (my sister has) but I hear its great. Dolly is too too cute :)
