weekend awesomeness

This weekend was awesome. AWESOME I TELL YOU. We watched "The Social Network" and it was just as good as the first time we saw it. Except we could pause it to get snacks. And I could flail around on our couch because I'm antsy and have difficulty sitting still. And the boyfriend could rub my legs while I laughed at the funny parts.

But before that, we went and got noodle bowls from a little Thai place that we recently discovered called Lam's. There are few things in this world that make me happier than noodle bowls. They're the most fantastic, hearty (but not heavy) Asian dishes out there. I got mine with duck. The boyfriend got his with seafood. It was delicious. And then we had more Asian cuisine on Saturday with Nick and Becca, our new dim sum partners in crime. I also did some serious damage to my beautiful and wonderful credit card with Becca, and I ended up buying the straw fedora from Gap. Holla. Most stylish individual on the beach, right here.

But the best purchase that came home with me?
urban outfitters
High-waisted shorts. But mine are grey. But bam. Homegirl is taking risks all over the place.

But I also burned my arm while ironing the boyfriend's shirts on Saturday morning, so I'm left with this awkward mark on my arm. And it hurts. This is the result of me trying to be domestic. Sigh.
you can just go ahead and ignore the wet hair and t-shirt
Things to look forward to this week:
 - I'll (hopefully) be making an amazing crab meat dip on Friday.
 - Dancing my butt off at Tequila Rain on Saturday.
 - Seeing friends from school for drinks and reminiscing

Oh, and Give and Get is back once again at Gap! I've got lots of email coupons left, so hit me up with your email if you want in! And if you don't know what it is, check out what I wrote last time it came around. Again, I've picked Teach for America as my non-profit, so 5% of all purchases using my cards go to them!

  1. I'm happy you had a nice weekend Alex!! And that burn is exactly why I don't iron husband's shirts. Not only is ironing horrible and tedious, but it's also DANGEROUS. ;)

  2. I ADORE highwaisted shorts, but cannot pull them off. Highwaisted skirts, totally, but shorts, eesh, not at all. So I will live vicariously through you and your cute highwaisted shorts :)

  3. 1.) You look bomb in those high waisted shorts! So glad you got them.
2.) Soooo pumped for tequila rain on saturday- cute outfits, sweaty dance moves, capped off by some "street meat" on our walk home. I call that a Solid Saturday.
    3.) Crab dip? Where?
