sunshine and sand

So I swear we didn't just eat while we were on vacation. We also slept (and I became the queen of mid-day naps. It was sa-weet), ran in the hot hot heat, I did some yoga, and we went to the beach.

Ah, the beach. It was glorious. Big. Beautiful sand. And the water. Gah. It didn't make me feel like I stepped into a bath of ice water like the water up here around the Cape.
gah. ocean.
you could rent umbrellas and chairs!
And then the boyfriend asked me to cover him in sand one afternoon. I have a feeling not many people are going to believe that this was not my idea, but it wasn't. All him.
i did a magnificent job.

I repeat: that was not my idea. Anywho, there was lots of playing in the sand over the course of the week.

i found a giant hole. clearly, i needed to go hide in it. and look, it's my hat!
i was responsible for taking all pictures of us.
And on the very last day, I had some arts and crafts time with the sand and some shells.

Now if only I could spend every single day at the beach. Guess I'll have to move to Southern California now...just kidding! I won't be leaving Boston for quite a while. But the nighttime wasn't half bad either down in Florida:

the intercoastal.
Oh, and as an added bonus, I just found this mashup of two of my favorite artists. Obviously, Adele has the voice of an angel and it just booms through my soul. But damn. Britney Spears. Girlfriend makes me want to dance. And then BAM! I found this mashup. Of two of my favorite songs. Enjoy.

You are welcome.

  1. Your sand adventures make me so happy. Come visit LA sometime and we can hold hands and skip down the shore together... I went to the cape once. This past January. yeah.. JANUARY. It was cold.

  2. are you kidding? there is NOTHING wrong wiht "just" eating on vacation! I love food, and that is the best part of vacations for me!

  3. ugh, the beach is such a gift - also, that mash up is nuts! what fun

Oh, herro there.
