woof

You guys. Today was rough. I was feeling all sorts of woof all day.

I lied when I told you guys a few weeks ago about never waking up early again. This morning I was up bright and early for a Pure Barre class with the lovely B (who has a birthday today! Yay for birthday exercising!).

I had high hopes and aspirations to go running this afternoon on top of that grueling 55 minute workout (since, you know, I have to run 5 miles on Sunday in a race. Ugh.), but I failed.

The boyfriend and I found out that we can move out a month early. We're taking full advantage of that. So now that we're 3 months and change away from our new apartment versus 4 months and change, we're taking our apartment hunt much more seriously.

Now, onto a list of things I need would like in my new apartment:

Farmhouse sink.
{here}
Fireplace.
{here}
Dishwasher. This I actually need, since mine currently doesn't work.
{here}
Porch. Necessary for lazy days.

At 9 a.m. I got a craving for pigs in a blanket. So I made pigs in a blanket.

Pigs in a blanket
1 package of little smokies
cheese slices
2 packages of crescent rolls

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Open crescent rolls, unroll and cut each triangle in half to make two triangles. Rip cheese into bite-sized pieces, and place piece on fat end of the triangle. Place a smokie on top of that, and roll.
Bake for approximately 10-12 minutes, or until tops are golden brown. Enjoy!

Oh, and I'm thinking about getting a Holga 35mm. Thoughts?

  1. I love the picture of the sink and the kitchen. When I build my dream house (one day) it will hold a country kitchen. Those pictures made me swoon. Thanks.

  2. I got up at 8 this morning and it felt too early.

    And that's not including a work out. I mean, forgetttt it.

    Though I am thinking about joining a gym.

    Baby steps, Christine. Baby steps.

  3. love it! we are in the process of buying our first house and although the house-hunting was overwhelming, it was fun to look at ALL the options. Good luck to you and finding the *perfect* nest!

  6. That cracks me up that you made pigs in a blanket at 9am. Really impressed! I also have been hearing a lot about Pure Barre lately. I need to figure out if there is a class in my area. Although it sounds pretty hip and trendy and the midwest isn't really known for that.

  8. My new apartment? Needs a dish washer (I've never lived in an apartment with one!) and a balcony. For BBQs. Yes.
