why i run

I run…

…because I need to clear my mind. Too many thoughts, too much overlap. I need peace. So I run.

…for my health. It keeps my heart rate up and working.

…to feel alive. Sometimes it’s easy to forget how invigorating life can be.

…to challenge myself. I’m not a naturally good runner. It takes work. Effort.

That’s why I run.

Also, completely unrelated, but the boyfriend had a very vivid dream this morning that I was preggo and gave birth to a little girl who we named Summer. Anyone know what this means? ANYONE?!

  1. haha I couldn't help but laugh about your boyfriend's dream. I used to have dreams that I was pregnant alllll the time in high school. It was the weirdest thing. Let me know if you figure out the meaning - I'd love to know as well!

  2. I started running a few weeks ago. I do 2 miles... 1 mile without stopping, the second mile I have to take some walking breaks. I have exercise-induced asthma that basically kills me every time. it sucks. but I like it for the fact that it challenges me... I like that I am determined to make progress and it's something I can measure and see myself getting better at (if I do get better lol) I'm determined to do a 5k at some point this year!
I always have dreams about giving birth. and they're always so real!

  3. I'm so proud of you for running. Can you run for me also? LOL. As for the dream, I wouldn't worry about it. I have dreams like that all of time, and here I am, not knocked up. Phew!
