baby shower gift

Last weekend I went to my friend's baby shower, and I decided to make a sweet, personalized gift for her beeb-to-be: bunting.

I chose chocolate and cream as my colors, since my friend specifically stated NO PINK for her little girl. I was very sad, but I survived.
I made them 5 inches wide and 8 inches long. Perfect size for the three-inch letter stencils available at most craft stores.
I alternated colors of cardstock and free-handed the star. And then I glued them onto cream satin ribbon. Perfect for pinning to the wall above baby's crib or even tied to the front!
It took about an hour, and it's an easy way to give something made with love :)

  1. That's such a great idea! I love that you were able to give something handmade. Lol, my brother-in-law's girlfriend said the same thing before our (latest) niece was born ("no pink!!) but they broke their own rule pretty much immediately after she was born. Who can resist all the pink adorableness available in miniature???

  3. Really cute! I have a hand-made baby shower gift that is a favorite of mine too - it's called Bo-bo bunnies! It's little bunnies made out of face cloths, ribbon and pom poms haha.. they double as a teething aid, and an ice pack for littles.
