fill in the blank friday + DC lovin'

I'm glad to be back to link up with the little things we do again for Fill in the Blank Friday! I was actually really sad last week when I couldn't do it!

1.   Something popular that I can't stand/just don't "get" is      Justin Bieber. But like, older people being obsessed with him. Weird  .

2.   Something unpopular that I secretly love is    gosh...I can't even think of one. Gossip Girl? I guess that might be unpopular with my age group. Or Keeping Up With the Kardashians. It's my jam.   .

3.  When I've had a bad day I   cry, eat some chocolate and just reflect on why it was such a bad day. Usually, if I can get to the root of the problem, it can give me some clarity   .

4. I'd prefer    a pedicure    to    a manicure     any day.

5.  Something that makes me nervous is    cats. Something about them makes me nervous. You NEVER know what they're thinking. Hence why I'm a dog lady  .

6.  Something worth fighting for is     happiness. It's there. I had a good commenting session with my dear blog-land friend Kristie this week about searching for a full life. I think it's essential. We all deserve happiness   .

7.  When people think of me, I hope they think    that I'm well put together. I don't always need to have the most stylish outfit or the best hair, but I always make sure that I'm put together and I'm dressing how I feel, which is awesome. I never want to be thought of as a slob  .

Here are a few more tourist-y pictures from our time in DC. It was so fun to see DC through new eyes again.

We went to a couple different museums, including the Holocaust Museum, The Museum of Natural History and the Museum of American History. All of which are beautifully curated and total must-sees.
we spent a bit of time by the national monument. it was closed.
some snippets of the american and natural history museums.
And I've still got more to share! Including our time out with friends and the Newseum, my personal favorite museum in DC.

What's everyone up to this weekend? We have no real plans yet, but may partake in a fancy shmancy brunch at some point (I sure hope so...). There also may be some apple picking in our future. Anyone want to share some delicious apple recipes with me in case we do pick some delicious treats? Anyone?

  1. Awww Alex... I just know we'd be great friends IRL... why do you have to live so far away? That makes me sad. :(

But I hope you have a wonderful weekend, friend!! :)

  2. I LOVE the Newseum. I could spend days there alone, I think, just reading everything!

  3. Fun fact, I got lost at the Washington Memorial when I was in the 5th grade. My teacher nearly murdered me.

  6. Haha love this. I don't understand older women being obsessed with Bieber either. It's creepy!

I love these DC pics! I haven't been there since Clinton was in office. Yikes! That needs to change!

Oh, and Chinese girls are just as hot as Indian girls!! I think that's why rich white guys are so obsessed with ya'll. ;)

I hope you have an awesome week! xoxo
