reflect + food photos

It's almost been a whole week at the new job. I'm still adjusting to my new schedule, which is leaving me tired at the end of the day, but I've been waking up feeling very refreshed. It's a good change. I think this change was crucial to my happiness, to my battles within myself. I sometimes used to feel very stuck in one place. I felt like there weren't many places for me to go. That I wasn't fulfilled and I wouldn't be fulfilled. But now I'm starting to break out of that place. And it feels good. I'm hoping this feeling lasts.

I apologize for being a little light on content this week. I don't know why, but I sort of feel like I let you, my readers, down when I'm not producing my best stuff. But I haven't had the energy to dig down deep and pull out something really...creative. Hopefully this will change soon.

In other news, here are the rest of the food photos from our Iron Chef-style potluck from the other night. Secret ingredient: pumpkin and/or apple. Cue deliciousness.
pumpkin apple beer bread.
blue cheese and apple stuffed mushrooms.
sausage and apple stuffed empanadas.
apple pumpkin soup.
pasta with a pumpkin alfredo sauce.
apple, sausage and sweet potato sauté.
apple poptarts.
apple sangria.
Combined with my pumpkin cheesecake cupcakes, it was a pretty delicious evening.

Does anyone have any secret ingredient ideas we could use for December? We're all racking our brains, but can't seem to come up with something.

  4. I'm glad the new job is going well! Feeling fulfilled is so important, and people often undermine the power of being happy with what one is doing in his/her life!
