thanksgiving: the food

Thanksgiving is probably one of the best holidays there is. Spending the day with family and eating a ton of food? Sign. Me. Up.

So, here are some scenes of just a bit of the food we ate. I was too busy stuffing my face to take any more photos. Sorry.

First up, the drinks...
layer cake wine, cranberry cider and prosecco
turkey, cranberry sauce, kugel, preparing and carving the turkey
ooey gooey butter cake, pumpkin cheesecake cupcakes,
preparing cupcakes, and salted caramel apple pie
The boyfriend and I decided that Thanksgiving needs to happen more than once a year, so in a few months, we'll be making another turkey with mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce.

How was your Thanksgiving?

  1. I was looking at the Layer Cake Pinot Noir to take to Thanksgiving, but opted for a different brand. Is that brand good? The labeling & name make it so hard to resist. I'll have to go pick it up if it's good!

  2. I take it from the kugel that you had a jewish thanksgiving? I heart that stuff even though it could very well kill ya!

  3. what a great idea. i want tohave another thanksgiving too. Those desserts sooo yummy.

  4. I thought gooey butter cake was a St. Louis thing! I hope you love it just as much as I do. So. Good.

  5. Oh girl, I ain't even mad looking at this post (like I normally am with food posts) because I had a great Thanksgiving meal, too, and my mom sent me home with 5 plates of leftovers. Legit. Om nom nom.
My TF .A interview is tomorrow. OMGGGGGG.

  6. Thanks for the morning drool! lol everything looks sooo good!

  7. your food makes me want thanksgiving again, now!

  8. WANT. Oh how I envy your gorgeous food photography!!

  9. Mmmmmmmmmmm. The only unfortunate thing about traveling for Thanksgiving was I didn't get leftovers--maybe that's a great excuse to make some Thanksgiving-style goodies soon? ;)

Oh, herro there.
