training toby

We've been taking a lot of our time lately trying to train Toby. Making sure he's on our schedule and that he knows his crate is Toby's Home. The first night was tough, especially since we didn't have a crate right away. But we got one yesterday after work, and spent the evening teaching him that it's his space.

It was long, and it was frustrating, but it was totally worth it. I think we're doing a good job with him. And I think having him is teaching us a lot about ourselves. It's also showing us a new side of our relationship, and it's definitely a good one.
In other, non dog-related news, I wrote a guest post for my lovely blogland friend Nicole over at Running in Heels about my other great love: running. Head on over and check it out!

  1. The best thing I have ever done in training my dog has been the use of a clicker. I was a little skeptical at first...but it's pretty awesome.

  2. Congrats on your new dog, you lucky girl. :) He's so cute and looks like a sweetheart!

Off to check out your guest post now. xoxo

  3. Toby is so adorable. I'm glad training is going well. I'm so jealous!

Oh, herro there.
