friday letters

Another week down in 2012. It's crazy to think that June is just about over. Where did the first half of the year go? I'm amazed at how quickly time ticks by.
Dear beach, I can't wait to lounge on you and roll around in your sand on Saturday. I don't think there's anything else in the world I'd like to do on a hot day than be at the beach. Dear bikini season, I guess I'm ready for you. I mean, my legs are ready for you. So there's that. Dear Toby, I can't wait to go for a hike with you and Craig on Sunday. All in all, it's going to be the perfect weekend. Dear skin, You need to stop breaking out so much. I wish you'd stop. Anyone have any good recommendations for natural face washes? Dear pasta salad, I love you. So so very much. I feel like I'll never get bored of you. Dear Craig, I love you. A lot.

So on the skin care issue, I really need some advise from you ladies. While my skin doesn't look terrible, I do feel self-conscious about the little pimples that pop up around my nose and in my T-zone. My skin is ultra sensitive, so I like to keep things natural. So help a sistah out. Plz.

  1. i'm loving that skirt, girl!

  2. Girl, you have got to use mud soap. I'm serious. It's all natural and so good for your skin - it's like a breath of fresh air for it. I use the Minus 417 brand (comes straight from Tel Aviv) but that's only because my cousin is a flight attendant and picks it up while she's there. I recently bought the AHAVA brand of mud soap from Ulta but haven't actually used it yet.

  3. I am so jealous of your date with a beach this Saturday! I need to get to the beach ASAP! :)

    Happy Friday, lady!

  4. all i use it neutrogena oil-free acne wash. i still get the occassional zit explosions but i blame stress. i wonder if that would work. it's pretty good, but i'm not sure how it works with sensitive skin. you need to STOP talking about pasta salad. it's all i want anymore.

  5. Just found your blog! I go to college in Boston so it's nice to find a blogger from the area. Great maxi :)

  6. I was literally just messing with a stupid zit on my face at the time I started reading this post. (I know, I shouldn't but I can't help it). I need something for my face too, I feel like a teenager.. and lately my forehead has even been bad! grr

Pasta salad is the best summer food and I'm DYING over the one you made.. I'm such a tomato/basil/mozzarella AND pasta fanatic, so that's kind of the best food idea I think I've ever seen. DEFINITELY trying it.

  7. I'm on acne medication and my face is still breaking out lately! Blaaaaah. Wish I could help you, but I don't know what to do for me! :( haha

  8. I found you through Ashley's Fridays Letters link up!

I love me some beach time too, however we are only fortunate enough to have lakes in WI. I guess I have to take what I can get :)

I use Philosophy's Purity Made Simple face wash. I have really sensitive skin too and this is all I have found to keep zits at bay.

Good luck finding something that works for you!

I hope you can stop by to say hi....

  9. Relating to this post on so many levels right now. I love the beach and since I live in Orlando, I find myself going there very often...despite the fact that I'm almost never ready for bikini season (which I guess is all the time now since I live in FL?) I always have this epic plan to exercise before summer and I just end up eating creamsicles instead. Pasta salad is a new obsession of mine also...don't you just love food that keeps getting better every day it stays in the fridge??? Love your blog and look forward to following.

  10. Oh, that sounds like a perfect, relaxing weekend. wish I could just go down to the beach, that's definitelly sth everybody needs every once in a while :)

also, very nice blog! :) I'll make sure to stop by more often:)
