nine to five: shannon's maternity style

Two posts in a day?! I know. Ca-razy. But have you heard the good news? My blogging co-hort in crime is pregnant with her second baby! So today for Nine to Five, she's sharing how her style has changed in the workplace since being pregnant, and things she's just dying to add to her wardrobe. Make sure you check out Shannon's blog to get her outfit details!
:: Describe your pregnancy from a style perspective. ::
I tend to wear as much non-maternity as possible, and then big ugly sweatpants the second I walk in the door. If there is one thing I have come to accept with my pregnancies, it is that my comfort level and body temperature change rapidly, so I am always putting sweaters on and off. And I live in men's sweatpants when no one is looking (my poor husband!). Even with pregnancy, I have not yet fully embraced leggings. Perhaps I am scarred from too many years of gymnastics as a kid.

:: What are your nine to five staples? ::
Stretchy low rise jeans, I hate maternity jeans! Lots of big chunky wrap cardigans  I put away my Jackie twinsets from J.Crew and bring out the wrap style everything. Neutrals. I shuffle and re-wear a lot of my key pieces throughout the week, so nothing can stand out too much. I also live in flats. I especially prefer shoes I can kick off and slip back on. Note: I can't actually wear jeans to the office, so I would wear this outfit with trousers or a pencil skirt.

:: How has blogging changed the pregnancy/baby industry? ::
Blogs can be very overwhelming in general, even worse when you are pregnant. Questions and emotions are already running high for a pregnant women and then you are bombarded with every new product you must have for your baby, completely organic, BPA-free, breastfeed for life, Ferber method, let them cry, cloth diapers, prefolds, wool soakers, bamboo layettes, it is enough to make me want to throw my computer out the window. And then, when I really need some insight, like double stroller options for an urban lifestyle, I am completely at a loss. Any body have any suggestions for me?

:: How do you find time to do it all? When do you blog? ::
My blog has been seriously struggling with this pregnancy. I have never needed so much sleep in my life! Not even when I was pregnant with Behr. But I have found this if I have a schedule, it helps to keep me on track (aka less distracted by pinterest)

:: Finally, what have you been pinning lately? What are the items you are just dying to add to your work wardrobe? ::
I have been pinning lots of bunkbeds and activities for Behr. One of the things my mom (a mother of four) has helped me understand is that after the baby arrives, it will be more important than ever to be attentive to Behr. I already have some new activities like alphabet puzzles and shape magnets ready but I am also trying to think of fun homemade/kitchen activities.

As for clothes, since this series is Nine to Five after all, I have been told that the Super Skinny Twill Pants from Gap rock, but I can't seem to get over the $70 price tag. I think I need to go try them on...

Shannon is just the greatest, and I was so excited to find out she's expecting another beeb! Has your work style ever drastically changed? From casual to business formal? Adjusting for a growing belly?
