things to do in boston: paint nite

Lately, I've been looking to do different things in the city. I love hanging out with my friends, running and going to Pure Barre, but sometimes I feel like I need to shake it up.

Enter Paint Nite. The tagline of this amazing group is "Drink Creatively." Oh, ok. I can do that. Bianca and I went to a class on Sunday night at Sweet Caroline's, ready to paint a lovely tea cup.

Let me be completely honest: I am not a painter. I think the last time I painted was in kindergarten. Like. It just doesn't happen. So I was totally ready to make something sucky. And drink some vino whilst making something sucky.

But guys! I managed to make some beautiful art! And drink lots of vino!
I was amazed at how...easy it was. Our teacher explained each step, encouraged us to be creative with how we made our tea cups and spoons and everything. Everyone walked away from the class with something a little bit different, but equally as lovely.

So if you can, I highly recommend going. You'll probably surprise yourself with something lovely.

  1. That sounds like so much fun! I have a couple canvases laying around I picked up on clearance like, 4 years ago, and I'm trying to convince my husband we should have a wine and paint night. Doing it in a social setting would be 21390 times more fun though!

  3. This looks like so much fun! I've seen these types of places in other cities and I've always wanted to try it--sadly this is not the type of thing we have in Tahoe though! Maybe I need to plan a trip to Boston! xoxo

  4. We have something similar here in NYC and my roommate and I have been dying to try it! I'm not very artistically challenged, but maybe some wine will help!

  9. i have been seeing these paint and wine nights popping up every where and they seem like so much fun. but my lack of artistic skills might not be beneficial for the class and the results would definitely NOT be blog worthy
