boston strong

It's hard to believe it's only been one week. But that's it. I'm still not feeling 100 percent (emotionally), but I've made it back out on the road for more runs, dedicated to my amazing city.
This week has been weird. Eerie. Inspiring. Emotional. Everything. I'm still pretty sad. Pretty bitter. And I probably will be for a while. However, Boston is strong. And we will make it through this dark time better than ever. If you're interested in helping out the City of Boston, here are some ways to provide relief:
+ Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino have developed The One Fund Boston to help the people most affected by last week's tragedy. If you can, donate $5. If you live in the city, you can donate at checkout at your local Whole Foods (I've done it every time I've gone grocery shopping) as well as other locations around the city.
+ Adidas, the official apparel provider of the Boston Marathon, has created a Boston Tribute Tee, with 100% of the profits being donated to The One Fund.
+ Rue La La, the popular online flash-sale site, has also developed its own relief t-shirt, the Honoring Boston Tee. All of the net proceeds from these sales will be donated to the Emergency Medicine Fund at Massachusetts General Hospital, which supports patients and families affected by the tragedy.
+ There's also a Crowdtilt to fix David Henneberry's boat. David is the man who discovered the suspect in his boat, which ended up being ruined during the standoff in Watertown on Friday night. Currently, the fundraiser organizers are hoping to buy David a brand new boat.
There are infinite ways to help. And my dear city appreciates every bit of assistance. We'll be back to regular content in the near future guys.

Thanks for bearing with me.
