festival style

This weekend was the long-awaited Boston Calling music festival here in Boston. Craig and I had been waiting for this weekend for months. It was my first music festival, and let me tell you: there's a whole lot of standing at festivals. But beyond that, the weather is unpredictable. I've seen a lot of people throw out ideas for cute festival outfits, but none of those would have flown this weekend. Shorts? I think not.

So today and tomorrow, I'll show you what I wore to the festival. The second day was perfect weather: sunny, but a bit chilly. But the first day? It poured. And it was freezing. I'm told by British co-workers that this weather made it a more realistic festival. You know, like the ones they have in England.

And the most important accessory I couldn't leave home without?

rain jacket: north face
Seriously, I would have been a mess without it. Just before we left, I threw on an extra sweatshirt and THANK GOD I did. It was too cold. Halfway through the day, I threw on a plastic poncho because I just wanted an extra layer. I could have used a pair of gloves (hindsight is 20/20), but I lived. It was a great day of dancing in the rain and listening to some super awesome music.

  3. OMG THAT KISSING TOBY PHOTO IS TOO CUTE. I want to print it out and put it up in my office. That's not weird, right?? haha I'm so jealous of your festival going. I wish Bonnaroo had a better line up this year, but I'm broke as a joke anyway. Oh well. I'm going to see Best Coast tonight! If you don't know who that is, you should.
