recipe: green smoothie

Everyone has their own recipe for a green smoothie. Some people really pack in their greens to make the most of their morning bevvy, and others just sneak it in there.

I sneak it in there.
Green smoothie

small handful of spinach
1 banana
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 can of coconut milk

Stick everything in the blender in that order, blend until you reach your desired smoothieness, and enjoy.

The blueberries help hide the green coloring of the smoothie, so if you don't mind a green drank you can leave out the blueberries and substitute with another delightful frozen fruit.

Classy straws are optional, but I know you're all classy ladies (and gents) and would prefer this ish with a cutesy little straw.

  1. AH Matt and I have been trying these. We were on a binge for like a week then kind of gave up because I could not hide the taste of broccoli. Must try yours though, luff the idea of coconut milk and just spinach....

  3. I use to make these at school where they had a smoothie bar and I didn't have to wash my own blender. Ugh. Washing a blender is the work. Give me your secrets.

  5. Yum! Smoothies are practically a daily thing for me, especially if I'm headed to the gym before work. I prefer more veggies than fruit, but blueberries and pears are among my FAVORITE ingredients!
