end of summer scenes

I can't bear to think that summer will be ending soon. So excuse me while I revel in the last few weeks of this beautiful summer. This might be the greatest summer of my adult life.
August Instagrams
1// Toby and I have been spending a lot of time at the reservoir by our house. Running, playing, romping with a lot of other pups. Summer days there are my favorite.

2// Seeing Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z at Fenway park definitely was one of the GREATEST parts of this summer. I was so sad when it ended. So so sad. I wish it went on forever.

3// Bloody Mary's are an essential part of my brunch routine. If you haven't noticed.

4// I started the new yob! And I wore my striped skirt! And loafers! And a chambray! And felt amazing. I love my job.

5// Lounging with Toby is also one of my favorite summer activities. Who am I kidding? It's one of my favorite all-time activities.

6// Saw John Mayer with my wonderful friend Sarah (among others). Her hair is my favorite.

7// I was officially accepted into the 2014 Boston Marathon. They took my money, so you know it's legit. I'm so excited to get the chance to finally cross the finish line.

8// Made some delightful corn/tomato/pasta dish. Will share the recipe soon!

9// Whole Foods had a one-day sale on lobster tails. Nothing says summer more than lobster to this New England gal. Nom.

  2. Yay JT and Jay Z! I went to their show at Soldier Field here in Chicago. Sooo goooood.
Also, yay marathon! I can't wait for you to cross that finish line this year. And, of course, I look forward to hearing about your training. Will you be running for charity again?

    1. That show was INSANE. GAH. And thank you! It'll be exciting! I've decided to forgo running for a charity this year because of the wedding. I don't want people to feel like I'm asking for too much. Plus it'll make it significantly less stressful on me!

  8. I refuse to think about summer coming to a close. Instead, like you, I've just been doing as many summery things as possible. I'm kicking myself that I missed the Whole Foods lobster sale- I'm with you, that's about as summery as you can get!
