things to do in boston: pasta beach

There are a lot of really great restaurants in Boston. Everything from traditional Chinese to Cambodian to Indian to American fare. We also have a lot of really good Italian food in the city. Recently, I got to try out an Italian place in the Financial District called Pasta Beach with a few other local bloggers. Because nothing goes better together than bloggers and food. I've never felt less judged for taking a million pictures of my food.

Pasta Beach is owned by Gianni and Susie Ropolo, an amazing couple with a serious love for good food. And the real kicker? All the chefs are from Italy. Like legit. Can't get any better than that.

The bruschetta is perfect and light, and my carbonara was perfect. AND THE BACON. The bacon just didn't end. It filled me up without making me feel super full. Exactly what I wanted for a night out with some fabulous ladies. Also do yourself a favor and order some pizza...

...and then end your meal with the nutella pizza. It's always smart to end with pizza.

There's another Pasta Beach in Newport, RI (the family splits their time between Italy, Newport and Boston), so hit that up if you're vacationing down there too!

Thank you so much, Elizabeth, for setting this whole night up! It was such a fun experience!

  2. Oh my soul, I need to get down there and try this place out because everything looks amazing! Though all you really needed to say was "Nutella pizza" and I would have been sold!

  4. Yum yum yum! That all looks amazing! When Adam and I were in Boston on our honeymoon, we ate at Panza, and it was one of the best Italian meals I've ever had. I want to go back and eat their diavola sauce again. If you haven't been there before, I highly recommend checking it out.

  6. I would trade a lot of things to repeat this dinner. Specifically the nutella portion.

  7. I'm a Rhode Islander and work right down the street from the Newport location -- you are 100% correct in noting that Pasta Beach is fabulous! Their sandwiches are served on warm focaccia that may in fact be the most delicious bread in the entire world. Great call!
