loving lately

now that i'm getting older, i've found that my skincare needs are changing. so what worked for me two years ago isn't really cutting it anymore. thankfully, after much trial and tribulation, i think i've found some products that work for my combination skin and hopefully will help you too.
Skin Care Necessities from literally, everything
+ i've long been a fan of kiehl's products. they're made for sensitive skin, so i know i'm not going to react poorly to anything i try. i was recently introduced to the calendula deep cleansing foaming face wash and the calendula herbal extract alcohol-free toner and the combination has left my skin feeling refreshed after long hot days. on a side note, craig also loves kiehl's (since i introduced him) and his personal favorites are the ultimate brushless shave cream and the ultra facial cream. ya know. for the men in your lives.

+ i've also been turned on to mary kay recently, and let me tell you, it is not your mom's mary kay. the formulas are great and the consultants care about creating great skin. i've been a huge fan of the brush cleaner, because having dirty makeup brushes can lead to disgusting crap on your face. this spray is super easy to use and doesn't leave your brushes drying overnight. and the foundation primer? it creates a smooth canvas to apply your makeup. it also has spf15, which i'm a huge fan of.

+ for the unexpected pimples that inevitably popup (because i'm human and i get zits), i recommend eradikate by kate somerville. this amazing formula has quickly gotten rid of everything from those awful under the skin pimples to surface hormonal acne. it's a miracle worker. we should all praise it.

so there it is. my skin certainly isn't flawless, but we're getting there. slowly but surely.
