things to do in boston: forge baking company

way back when during our winter break, craig and i visited a ton of boston coffee shops. like...a lot. we were pretty caffeinated and weird. but now, here i am! three months later! sharing the fruits of my labor with you!
forge baking company is an awesome new coffee shop and bakery in somerville. it is MASSIVE. there is tons of seating, so it's perfect for studying or having a fun coffee date. you'll always find a seat. craig and i split a cuban sandwich, and it was so delightful. the bread is just bananas, and the housemade pickles were to die for.

but the coffee! oh the coffee. my regular brewed coffee was smooth and delicious, and craig's latte was full of flavor and depth. and they even have pourover coffee! and you can buy beans! coffee lover dreams are made here.

we opted to sit in the back, overlooking the bakery. there's a giant window where you can watch the bakers make all the delightful treats, from brioche and cinnamon buns to cookies and brownies. i'd recommend sitting back there to really catch a feel for this awesome place.

give it a visit if you're looking for a coffee shop where you can sit and stay a while.
