i'm a big believer in having good foundations to your outfits. you know, undergarments. you can pick out an amazing outfit, but it could be totally ruined by an ill-fitting bra. thankfully, there are tons of places that can help you out here in boston. i've already talked about the big-box store, but there's also a local shop that knows how to find your perfect fit. it's called forty winks.
forty winks last fall when i saw they had a bra i loved on super sale in my size. the gods were smiling down on me, so i knew i had to pop in to their harvard square shop to pick it up in person. the shop is small, but easily accessible and filled with light. the gals in there can get you sized and into a bra that's not only supportive, but also beautiful. i went in yesterday, hoping to find a bra that's similar to the marie jo bras i love so much, but without the marie jo pricetag. immediately, rachel (who co-owns forty winks with meredith) hooked me up with bras that were comparable to what i was used to at about half the price. REJOICE!
forty winks occasionally has sales, and they happen to be running one right now! i picked up a fun bralet, which i've been dying to try especially now that it's super hot and the less layers the better. if you're in the area, especially now, i highly recommend going to check them out and meeting the lovely ladies who work there.
