overnight oats: a recipe post

last weekend i had the distinct honor of taking over the whole foods market brighton instagram account, and i got to try out all sorts of different supplements, including protein powder. i've been told a thousand times i ought to try out protein powder to help supplement my exercising, but i just hadn't taken the plunge. with tons of access to plant-based protein powders, i thought i'd explore adding it to my overnight oats.

here's the basic recipe i use for my overnight oats.
Overnight oats
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1/2 cup almond milk
2 T protein powder of your choice
1 t chia seeds

i mix these together in a bowl, cover it up and pop it in the fridge. that's it! in the morning, it's thickened up and makes for a nice filling breakfast. i top mine with sliced bananas and seasonal berries and a drizzle of maple syrup or honey.

also, i use glass for just about everything, and i found this glass bowl at tj maxx for $3 so get on that.
