#blogbarreless with crane & lion

last week i ventured deep into the south end to visit the beautiful crane & lion studio aaaand to get my seat handed to me in my very first barreless barre class.
if you've been around here for a minute, you know i love barre classes. i like how challenging they are and how they change your body. we were lucky enough to be instructed by amazing and inspirational jessica diaz, and i loved how she modified so many familiar moves to accommodate for the lack of barre. it worked out every part of my body, from my shoulders to my calves!

but on top of the barre class, i was introduced to crane & lion! i had known about the activewear brand, but i hadn't seen any of the products in the flesh before. i was blown away by the quality of the products (the pima cotton tops are beyond soft), and how well it performs during tough workouts. i treated myself to one of their sports bras, and we were graciously gifted a racerback tank top, and both stood up to my super sweaty strength training workouts and a few treadmill runs. everything is super stylish and can easily go from workout to errands without looking too sporty, too frumpy or too fancy. overall, it's the absolute definition of athleisure.

and! the company is rapidly expanding, with locations coming to nantucket and beacon hill in upcoming months! they're tight with their factories, and do a lot of good in the boston community, including donating 100% of the proceeds of these running tights to the MGH cancer center. it's a company i can get behind, and i hope you can too.
