things to do in boston: ocean prime

hello.

it's me.

anywho, a few weeks ago, i was lucky enough to attend an amazing "sip & sea" dinner at a new restaurant in boston, ocean prime. it was a warm day, but the weather quickly turned and suddenly it was downpouring throughout the city. the only thing that could make me feel better? great cocktails, amazing food and the loveliest company in the city.
Ocean Prime Boston
first things, ocean prime is huge. massive! the restaurant seems to have endless seating, and in the summer i hear it'll have some amazing patio space. the tables are intimate, and the whole staff is amazingly friendly. upon entering, they offered to take my soaking wet coat and umbrella, and didn't bat an eyelash as all the water dripped on them. also: sorry to them.

we met a few of the bartenders, and learned about one of their most popular beverages, berries & bubbles (pictured above). um hi if i could bathe in this drink on a regular bases, that would be so exciting. because it was delicious. i love me some whiskey drinks, but i don't always love tasting overly alcoholic beverages. this was the perfect blend of sweet, crisp and a little tart. i highly recommend it.

from there, we were treated to all kinds of food, including steak, oysters, mashed potatoes, truffle mac and cheese, roasted asparagus, 10 layer carrot cake (bye dead it was the best), and creme brulee, i was in heaven. also, i'm a super bad blogger and i didn't take any pictures of the food. but i mean, i don't think i could have done any of it justice and i was starving but trust me, everything was delicious because i tried everything. i make such sacrifices for you guys.

anyway, if you're looking for a place to hang out or go for a big delicious meal, i can't recommend ocean prime enough. you'll have the most amazing experience, guaranteed. and if you don't get the berries & bubbles, we're not friends anymore.
